Christopher Choi, Ph.D., DABT, ERT
Vice President, Corporate Safety and Regulatory Affairs at Takasago International Corporation
Since 2018, Dr. Choi has assumed the role of Vice President of Global Safety and Regulatory Affairs (GFSARA) for Takasago International Corporation. In this role, Dr. Choi leads the responsibility for global safety and regulatory compliance of Takasago fragrance and flavor ingredients. He also serves as internal resource for the Fragrance, Flavor, Aroma Ingredient and Fine Chemicals Divisions on questions/issues involving toxicology/safety (Occupational Safety) and regulatory compliance, including customer interactions.
In addition, Dr. Choi continues to serve on the following flavor and fragrance trade associations, representing Takasago:
- IFEAT – Scientific Advisor (Panel of Experts)
- ICCS – Scientific Advisor (CST, SPT, and HHED)
- PCPC – Board of Director
- IFRA – CMR WG
- IOFI – Science Board of Director (Chair)
- FCA – Regulatory Scientific Executive Committee (Chair)
- RIFM – Board of Director (Vice-Chair)
- IFRA – Executive Technical Committee (Vice-Chair)
- ACI – Strategic Advisory Committee
Prior to joining Takasago, Dr. Choi has worked in the pharmaceutical, consumer product and chemical industries with varying degrees of roles and responsibilities. Dr. Choi holds a PhD in Neuroscience and Toxicology, is a certified Diplomate with the American Board of Toxicology and is a Registered Toxicologist in the EU.
